Water Filtration
You
are What You Drink...
Your
body is made up of mostly water. In fact, water makes up 75 to 85
percent of your cells. And the reason your thirst for water on a
regular basis, perhaps even hourly basis is due to three main benefits
your body receives from water:
Cohesion
- Flexibility
Water creates internal cohesion for your body, giving your cells
and organs the flexibility to be stretched and even strained within
certain limits without rupturing or tearing. Every time you move,
reach for something or stand up, water is helping to protect your
organs from being torn in the process.
Temperature
- Comfort
Water helps your body stabilize temperature and acclimate to temperature
changes. Without sufficient water, the human body can undergo fatal
overheating or cooling very quickly.
Solvency
- Nutrition & Detoxification
Water also provides natural solvent properties, supporting the body
in the great task of breaking down substances for use or disposal.
Think of all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients flowing through
your organs and into your extremities that allow you to function
normally, as well as the detoxification your body carries out through
the release of sweat, urine and other means. Without water, these
processes would cease to function.
How
the Body Uses Water...
| Function |
Uses of Water |
| Digestion |
Component of gastric
juicese, pancreatic fluids and saliva; transport of nutrients
through digestive tract; dissolving nutrients |
| Circulation |
Transport of nutrients
and waste products in the blood and lymphatic fluids |
| Absorption |
Transport of nutrients
into cells for utilization |
| Elimination |
Dissolving waste
products of cells; transport of waste out of the body through
kidneys, intestines, skin and lungs |
| Temperature |
Component of sweat
to help the body maintain a constant temperature |
| Lubricant |
Joints and colon
lubricated by fluid |
Though the body can live
for long periods—even a month or more—without food, it will die
within a few days without water. It doesn't take a nutrition specialist
to see that the quality of the water we drink is vital to our well-being.

Nature’s
Spring Reverse Osmosis Water Filter...
With years of expertise in the production of countertop reverse
osmosis water treatment systems, Nature’s Sunshine has developed
a new and improved Nature’s Spring Reverse Osmosis device to meet
the growing challenges facing our drinking water. This unit is still
designed around a semi-permeable membrane that allows only pure
water, oxygen and a small amount of minerals to pass through, while
sending everything else down the drain. This technology has been
used for decades to purify seawater into drinking water.
When combined with the purifying abilities of activated carbon,
reverse osmosis is a proven method for making great-tasting, high
quality drinking water for your family.
The
new and improved Nature’s Spring is now a four-stage system that
offers one unit for all city water systems and solid-block activated
carbon in the pre-and post-filters. It also has a special timer
with indicator lights so you know when to change the filters which
makes it easier to service.
The four
stages of the new and improved Nature’s Spring Reverse Osmosis unit:
Stage
One:
Water first enters
a 5-micron pre-filter that is 12 inches long. It removes any large
sediment or debris that may damage the membrane.
Stage
Two:
A solid-block,
activated carbon filter (inside the sediment pre-filter) removes
excess chlorine to protect the PA membrane and assists in removing
chloramines.
Stage
Three:
An efficient Polyamide (PA) reverse osmosis membrane produces 35
gallons of purified, highly oxygenated drinking water per day. Reverse
osmosis effectively reduces total dissolved solids, including fluoride,
lead and cadmium.
Stage
Four:
A 12-inch, solid-block, activated carbon filter removes traces of
any pollutants while improving the taste.
This
improved Nature’s Spring Reverse Osmosis unit features snap-on use,
with a yield of 35 gallons of pure drinking water per day. One unit
works on all potable water supplies.
Treated
water must be stored for use. Remember, since chlorine is no longer
in the water, it is susceptible to harboring germs from the air.
Keep it covered and cool in a glass or polycarbonate container.
Ehealth
retails the unit for $880 (online orders are discounted to $750). If you would like to register your interest
